Stirk House

Stirk House Wedding Photographer | Lancashire Wedding Photography

Stirk House is one of those places that just has to be viewed to appreciate it in all of its glory. This stunning 400 year old house is the perfect setting for your wedding day and lends itself perfectly to wedding photography. It is built from stones from the former Sawley Abbey and has welcomed guests since 1933. Prior to that it was owned by a London Financier who used it as his country retreat for lavish parties.

The family run house obtained a licence to perform wedding ceremonies here in 1995 and is an absolute must see for anyone planning a wedding.

As a wedding photographer at Stirk House in Gisburn, Lancashire, one of the things which finds me first are the stunning bedroom suites available. The bridal suite is so light and perfect for your bridal preparation photos. There are two large rooms with space for everyone and an amazing bath for some fun wedding photos later on.

The ceremony room is bright and airy and just the right size in order to make all of your guests feel part of the day. The staff are amazing ... so friendly and accommodating and really will make your wedding day so special. The wedding breakfast suite has the same aura about it - bright, light, and perfect for your wedding photos and capturing those speeches.

And what can I say about the grounds ? Just amazing - the opportunities for wedding photographs here are endless. Inside boast the huge beautiful fireplace, perfect for wedding portraits. The gardens are perfectly manicured with views across the Lancashire hills for miles. At night the trees are lit with fairy lights and the sun sets across the hills for a gorgeous finish to your wedding photography album.
